Skill Bank Volunteers

We sometimes are approached by those in need in the community who reach out to us for some help. Sadly, we are not always able to help them, owing in the main to not having the appropriate skills.

This is where the idea of a Skill Bank comes in. If you are a professional tradesperson that could donate some hours of your time on occasions, we would love to have your details on file. You specify the total number of hours. We would only contact you if we receive a request that needs your area of expertise and of course would be subject to your availability.

We can never have too many volunteers, so whatever skill you have, we would love to have you on board with this scheme.

Please email [email protected] of this is something you would be willing to consider.

Do not hesitate to ask us any questions.

An example of requests: gardener to do one-off tidy; someone to erect or repair fence; someone to take away some rubbish, a skip maybe; someone to repair or fit a socket; someone to install a door bell; someone to mend a leaky shower – these are just to give you an idea
